they say that every year...However, considering that City revenue is down, I see some tickets for alcohol, but not nudity. I recommend paper/styrofoam cups for the brews. Check out their website - www.ingbaytobreakers.com

Gavin's been running it for years, he knows wuzzup, then again, he wants to be gov, so they be making the motions of cleaning it up-scare away the keggers...
Been to 20 of these BtoB's and have never seen any violence or prob's.

i know that they say it every year but this year they made a much bigger deal about it and said that it was tied into the ING sponsorship.

i think that if they actually tried to enforce the nudity laws they would end up with a bigger problem on their hands than if they just left it alone.

the biggest problems are the lack of responsibility in clean-up and no thought or discretion when taking a piss...

the nudity and drinking would not be questioned half as much if people, myself included, didn't have to pick-up cups/trash for days after the event, along with having more rivers of urine than normal to deal with...

well, I'm responsible on pissin & cleanin-haha

I guess I missed seeing all the rivers of urine in the 20yrs in a row I've run it(1989>>2008).
I KNOW that run well, with the very high fee's they are charging this year, maybe a hundred extra port-a-potties would be in order-along the city part of the route(4mi). There are PLENTY of sane & discrete places to pee in the park.

I think alot of it is politic's and Bueracraps
I repeat, I've yet to witness a negative problem at this run, including public curbside urination, fights etc. Everyone seems quite happy and having fun. I guess the old saying "one bad apple...." applies.

I smell scumbag lawyers and ing taking the fun out of it and pissing on me with their regulations and red tape.

Imo, The Examiner was a far better sponser than ING.
Remember 1989thru1991 and the free beer at Footstock?(though it was Miller)

Ahhh...the good old daze!

Hey guy--run a few steps for me! I know this is just your sorta thing, and if I weren't unable, I would love to run a few laps in your honor. Good on ya; I'd rather be playing basketball, or riding a bike, but next to those two things, running, esp in place like SF, was always a joy.

I am envious in more ways than the obvious...

WT, you in the Bay Area? just catch the Muni-5Fulton bus on Market St to 30th ave (bring some suds/smoke and a lawn chair) @9-10am and watch. Btw, most of the folks walk it anywho.
The Meadow, across from Kennedy & 30th usually has a few BBQ Pits open, see the pic, on the other side of those trees are the Polo grounds.

Nope, not for many years, but if I was, I'd be right there rooting you on...damn, that has the best weather for running...few warm days in mid summer where I was (East Bay) but nothing to complain about!

I used to do 10k's for various charities and such the wife would sign me up for, but that was about it...never did more than 10 mi at any one time, and, ahem, lets just say, I average about 7-8 min miles, so, nothing special that's for sure...but, those days are long gone with a twice blown out knee, couple of shot disks, and ...well...you get the idea.
